During the season I don’t get as much reading done as I’d like. But during the summer, especially when away at festivals where the day-to-day demands of home life are largely absent, I can really get my reading on. Here’s what awaiting me on my Kindle this summer:

Two “Evils”, two “Deaths”…and eleven more books! Are you seriously going to read them all this summer? If so, you must be a speed reader.
I’m going to try – I’ve always been a voracious reader, and as you can see, I’ve gotten very behind!
AND, when you finish your list, dip your toothpick propped open eyeballs into robert musil’s “the man without qualities” for some real fun & frivolity!
:)))
the pema chodron book is one that has helped me through some very difficult times. she is a beautiful soul – you can dip in & out of it over the summer &/or read it straight through. NO pie-in-the-sky poppycock from her.
Heather recommended this book to me. She likes to just open to a random page and see how it speaks to her in that moment. You should check out her interview with Bill Moyers – it should be available online.
Bob, here’s the link to the first of the segments: http://youtu.be/GrgznKit-vI

i recently toyed with the idea of flying to halifax, renting a car & driving up to gampo abbey for a visit. maybe i will . . .
