Jeffry Work played the Haydn trumpet concerto with the Missouri Chamber Orchestra, Hugo Vianello conducting, in the summer of 1998. They also recorded this lovely work, and I played the recording for dinner music a few days ago. It is lovely; I can’t think of another trumpet recording I have that is its equal. You are lucky to have him as your principal trumpet.
