Thanks for the article . However, it makes me very jealous and rather sad to think we will never see a proper venue in Portland. I thought the comments to the article were quite interesting. Not surprisingly, a number of people seem to think a new concert hall in Montreal is a waste of money. I imagine if a serious proposal was ever made in Portland for a new performing arts venue, we would no doubt see similar reactions. How would we classical music and opera lovers respond? Any thoughts out there?
