Hi Charles – I’ve been a lurker here for years and wanted to share a couple recent developments with The Friends of the Oregon Symphony (FOS). Incoming President Robyn Johnson has assembled a rockstar 09-10 FOS Board that will pull out all the stops to support the Symphony’s programs & financial health. A couple of weeks ago at the FOS Annual meeting the members passed a revision to the Bylaws to assess annual dues for members (previously no dues were required)… every cent counts right?! The Board is holding a retreat in a couple weeks to hash out the vision for next season so we’ll have some exciting things to share soon.
For nobleviola.com readers who aren’t currently a FOS member and are interested in supporting our world-class symphony visit http://www.orsymphony.org/friends/ to learn more!
Cheers!
Dan Rasay: FOS Co-Director of Membership
Dan – thanks for all of your work so far, and I’m glad that the FOS is re-energized and raring to go – we definitely need all the volunteer help we can get!
