If you enjoyed the video of Robert Levin’s electrifying commencement address to the 2009 graduating class at the Curtis Institute of Music, you can now peruse a transcript of the speech. It’s a must-read for anyone considering going into the music field, or about to enter the music field. Most amazingly – this speech was extemporaneous! Levin’s not just an amazing classical improviser, it seems!
Many thanks to Jennifer Rycerz, Public Relations Manager at Curtis, for making this available.

patty – not sure why this is happening – try emptying your brower’s cache and see if it clears up
I didn’t even do that and it’s all fine now. Figures. 🙂
