It’s hard to believe, but summer is almost over.  No, not in terms of the 3 month-long cycle of the sun, but in terms of the Oregon Symphony’s 2009-2010 season beginning a week from Wednesday. Yes, on September 2nd the orchestra returns to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall to begin rehearsals for the new season.

Our first concert will be at Tom McCall Waterfront Park, just south of the Hawthorne Bridge in the big bowl-shaped lawn, on Thursday, September 3rd at 7:00 p.m.

The concert is free, and you can find out about the program and more here.

One reply on “countdown to the season”

Charles, I previously indicated the works I am particularly looking forward to hearing. What concerts this season are you especially intriguing to you as a performer? Of the various guest conductors and performers, is there anyone in particular with whom you are especially looking forward to collaborating?
