Ever played the flute? Were a pretty hot player or were you really bad at it? It doesn’t matter, you can take part in Flute Fandango (on Friday, August 6, 2010), which is a fundraiser for the Music Education Assistance Project, and aims to assemble the world’s largest flute ensemble in a bid for the Guiness Book of World Records. One reply on “flute fandango!”
I’m doing it! I haven’t played flute since high school marching band — no, make that my sister’s wedding (long story) — and I’m sure my old Bundy’s pads will leak so much I’ll hardly make a sound, but this will be a hoot and for a good cause, to boot. If you want to join in, but need an instrument to use, it’s worth contacting the Flute Alliance (Denise Westby is the head honcho) in case they can hook you up with a loaner.
