The Oregon Symphony’s 2011-2012 season is almost ready to be unveiled – we received our in-house copies at rehearsal this morning. Since I like having my job, I won’t be divulging any secrets here, but the first public trotting out of the season will be done Sunday, February 20th by Elaine Calder and OSO Resident conductor Gregory Vajda. Then, David Stabler does a full Sunday spread in the Oregonian, and there will be a full fifteen hours of programming on Allclassical.org (89.9 FM) devoted to the repertoire and artists of the new season on Monday, February 21st. Needless to say, you’ll also get the full scoop on the Oregon Symphony’s website come Monday morning. I’ll have my annual look at what I’m excited about in the coming season shortly thereafter, and I’d love to see some comments from you about what you love or hate (or merely tolerate) in the 2012-13 season.

I know I am getting old, but I cannot believe that I have missed the 2011-2012 season.
No, Evelyn, it is I who am getting old – and needed a nap before I posted this! Corrected above…
