In case you’re on the fence about this week’s concerts (and why should you be – isn’t the Mozart Jupiter symphony and Strauss’ Don Juan enough of a reason to make it?), here are YouTube videos of the Britten Piano Concerto that is also on the program. The British pianist Stephen Osborne will be the soloist for our concerts.
The videos feature the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain with conductor Vladimir Jurowski and pianist teen phenom Benjamin Grosvenor. It’s quite a performance!

PS
i just remembered that 2013 will be the 100th anniversary of Britten’s birth.
hello, arnica string quartet? MMM 2013 needs y’all.
:))))))
We’ll be surveying the three quartets in 2012-13 – but not all on one concert! Perhaps #2 for MMM?
#2 is my fave of the three – especially the final chacony movement.
you’re on.
want the regular arnica friday night MMM slot – 22 march 2013?
ps
it’s also lutoslawski’s 100th birth year in 2013. may i vote for his SQ on the same program as britten 2?
