can someone find the oregon symphony board?

Please help us! The Oregon Symphony’s board seems to be missing! The Oregon Symphony played in Benaroya Hall in Seattle for the first time in its history, and not a single current board member seems to have showed up. Clearly, something must have happened to the board members, they must be in terrible danger for this to have happened! If you know of the whereabouts of the Oregon Symphony board, please contact your local authorities immediately.

My future in-laws were visiting Portland from Indiana this week & logistically I couldn’t make the trip. They left this morning – terrible danger has passed.

wow, that IS surprising.

well, i know that james bash made the trip in order to hear how y’all sound up there in benaroya.

did you have a good time of it? was the place packed? do tell . . .

Hi Bob,
Yes, I caught a glimpse of James so at least there’ll be an online record of the performance. The hall wasn’t packed to overflow, but it was a good sized and very enthusiastic crowd. The ability to really hear the details in the Schubert, and for the band to float the pianissimos, was wonderful.

thanx for your review, elaine. yes, we can all always count on james – what an invaluable ally!

won’t it be great when pdx gets a benaroya-esque hall for the superb oso band?

here’s hoping . . .

I am sorry that anyone from Portland missed the opportunity to see & “hear” our Superstar Orchestra in the Benaroya Hall last weekend. My Seattle family loved being a part of it!
Thank you musicians for always making us proud!
From a cheerleader & “past” board member!

Barbara – I heard from Elaine that you were there – thank you for showing your support in so many ways! It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!
