I really hope so, Charles, even if it’s just what many other orchestras are doing, with virtual performances, reduced forces and so on. (Somehow I doubt we’ll be driving to Portland in February to hear Kirill play the Adès concerto…..) And I’d hate to think it was just a gift, or a marketing investment.
No, not marketing – definitely will be doing stuff in the coming months, but they’ve not told us what that exactly might be yet. But likely a wide range of different stuff, some of which will be performances of some kind.
