Damien Geter: An African American Requiem (World premiere)
Not playing this concert just makes me so sad, especially given the repeated instances of violence and injustice towards people of color in our country. Never has this piece been so needed and so relevant. I’m glad that it has been rescheduled and will receive its world premiere next season.
1/23-24/21 – The Goonies in Concert
I love playing the movie concerts! They can be hard work, but playing a beloved movie with a wonderful score while the audience thoroughly enjoys itself is a great time for us in the orchestra. I have to admit that I’m not in the Goonies Generation, but this would have been fun, just for the cosplay in the audience alone!
