july ride report

The goal for the 30 days between July 2 – August 2 was to ride 300 miles.  I came pretty close – 282 miles, to be exact.  I finished with a 42 miler and a 35 miler, both out in Washington county, a place with some beautiful rides, lovely roads, and some really a-hole SUV drivers, too.  All that aside, I’m well on my way to surpassing last year’s total of 1500 miles.  I have no idea how many miles I’ll actually ride this calendar year, but I have a secret unofficial goal that, if I attain it, I’ll be sure to share with everyone I see!

What’s on tap for August?  I’ve got just under 10 days until I head over to Sunriver, Oregon for the Sunriver Music Festival, and there will be quite a bit of riding done there, provided that it stays in the upper 80’s to mid 90’s.  Before that, I might get some riding done in the Helvetia area, of which I only just scratched the surface three days ago.  It’s a beautiful area and I’m dying to explore it.
